SYSTEMA MORABITO INSTRUCTOR COURSE (IKMO)

Duration: 4 modules – Total 40 hours of training + final exam

PURPOSE
To train certified instructors using the realistic, direct, and adaptive method of the only Systema certified and authorized by Russian government bodies, in line with IKMO standards. GM Marco Morabito is the Master who first brought Systema to Italy (2003) and created the first and only official school of Russian Martial Arts. He is the only non-Russian Master authorized to use the word "Systema" in his surname since 2012.

Attendance: Saturday 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

TECHNICAL PROGRAM (4 MODULES)

 

  • MODULE 1 – Principles and Biomechanics of the Morabito System

Objective: Build the motor, respiratory, and mental foundations of the Morabito System.

Origins and Development of the Morabito System
Key Principles: Breathing, Relaxation, Structure, Movement
Body Study: Posture, Alignment, Support, Mobility
Conscious Breathing and Stress Management
Blow Dissipation – Absorbing, Deflecting, Redistributing
Free-Body Exercises: Rolls, Falls, Tactical Walks
Active Relaxation and Instinctive Reactivity
Basic Drills with a Partner and Developing Sensitivity

  • MODULE 2 – Defensive Applications and Body Strategies


​​​​​​Objective: Apply the principles to standing self-defense situations.

Fluid defense against pushes, holds, and blocks
Management of the opponent’s body without force
Use of the body as a lever and tool for imbalance
Destructured striking: striking in motion, at a free pace
Absorbing and nullifying the opponent’s force
Defense against direct strikes and combinations
Fluid movement and use of space
Working with multiple attackers in continuous motion

  • MODULE 3 – Control, Grappling, and Tools

Objective: Integrate control techniques, groundwork, and the use of tools.

Unconventional Joint Control
Imbalance and Non-Impact Throws
Groundwork (Non-Sports): Control, Evasion, Re-Throw
Managing Continuous Contact: Fluid Grappling
Improvised Weapons: Short Stick, Everyday Objects
Knife Defense – Dynamic Approach
Tactics with and without Weapons, in Continuous Flow
Survival Strategies in Closed Environments

  • MODULE 4 – Teaching, Methodology, and Final Exam


Objective: Train the instructor in the transmission of the Systema Morabito according to IKMO criteria.
